Grab'n' Go - Quick, authentic tastes on the go

The Fakanál Grab'n' Go service is an ideal solution for organised groups of tourists who do not plan to make a long stopover during their visit to the Great Market Hall, but do not want to miss out on Hungarian flavours. Tourists can enjoy freshly prepared, hand-me-down sausage bites while strolling around.
Perfect if your group is on a tight schedule, but you still want to taste the specialties of Hungarian cuisine - quickly, yet in style. You can order your meal in advance, at a precise time in the morning or afternoon, so that each participant can receive their tasting plates in a short time when the group arrives.

Monday to Saturday, between 9:00 and 11:00 am or Monday to Friday after 15:00 pm, by individual arrangement.
Duration of the programme:
There is no fixed length of stay. At the terrace area outside the entrance to the Fakanal Restaurant, each visitor takes their pre-made bowls in hand and the group can continue their journey.
What is included in the Grab'n'Go sausage tasting?
Premium sausages in a small boat, handy snacks with a mini sword (guaranteed not to stain your clothes) + 0,5 l of mineral water (or without drink on request).
Hungarian tasting programme in the morning

At Fakanál Restaurant, our philosophy is to always prepare our food with fresh market ingredients from the Market Hall - just like our grandmothers used to do. For groups from abroad we offer special cold dishes as a taster, so that guests can get to know more typical local flavours. The programme is recommended after an early breakfast or before a later lunch, as a short "break for lunch".

What is in the cold dish?
Pick salami, Rákóczi salami with paprika, smoked sausage, Hungarian cheeses, fresh vegetables + 1 glass of drink of your choice. served on platters for 6 people, served home-style in the middle of the table - guests can have a taste of everything. Available in basic and premium versions on request.


Hungarian buffet lunch, with buffet

Experience with your group the flavours of traditional Hungarian cuisine and Hungarian hospitality in an authentic market environment! During our buffet lunch programme guests can choose from 8 homemade dishes, the most requested by foreigners, served on our rustic stove - everyone can choose from a buffet according to their interests and appetites.
Ambience Officer:
Our gypsy orchestra, with songs that suit the group's ethnicity, makes this not just an ordinary lunch in a restaurant, but a fun-filled experience with music and good vibes.

3-course lunch served

Discover the homemade flavours of Hungarian cuisine during our lunch in the centre of Budapest! Instead of a quick lunch, a more leisurely, refreshing occasion, combined with an authentic musical experience. We serve a 3-course menu or a tasting platter on request. The soup is served in a traditional enamel pot in the middle of the table, while the other courses are served on plates - just as you would in a Hungarian home. The menu: uniform for the whole group.
A good atmosphere with our gypsy musicians is guaranteed!
Gypsy music is one of the most ancient and distinctive musical genres of Hungarian culture, enriching the meal with deep emotions and virtuoso instrumental playing.

Sausage Stuffing Dinner at the Fakanal

Looking for a truly memorable dinner option for your groups abroad? A special, authentic programme of Hungarian traditions, the pig slaughter, will be recalled. You can be an active part of the programme, which is not only an experience as a cooking event, but also an introduction to the Hungarian way of life and community customs.
Guests can stuff their own spicy Hungarian sausages to their liking, which they then eat together. The programme can be combined with dinner, or can be offered as a stand-alone programme in both Hungarian and English.
